- Iyarappar temple:
Iyarappar One of 275 important temple of Lord Siva.
Main Deity: Swyambhu linga Iyarappar and his consort Aram valartha nayaki.
Teertham: surya teertham, seven pancha teertham. Sthala vruksham: Vilva vrikshum.
Importance: This place is considered equal to kasi. Siva performed pooja for himself over here. Lord Siva rewarded Silaatha muni for his penance. Rewad was nandi devar as his child in a box in the place where yaga is performed. Vyagyapadhar's daughter got married to nandi at this place.
Navukuarasar was blessed with glimpse of kayalasa sundarar.
Navukarasar Sambandar sung hymns on praise of lord over here. Arunagiri nathar praised and sung about Lord Muruga of this place.
- Melai thiru poonthuruthi:
one of 275 important Siva devara Sthalam.
The place is about 5kms from Thiruvayaru.
Main Deity: swayambu Pushpavana nathar and his consort Azagalamarntha nayaki
Teertham: kasyapa teertham.
Importance: The place is in between Cavery and kudamuruti river. Hence the name, turuthi. This is one of Eamoor sapthsthana.
Nandi here is not in straight line to deity it has moved towards to side on request for Sambandhar who is a devotee. Here Dakshina moorthy is with veena which is a rare thing.
Navukuarasar has composed poem about the lord. Arunagirinadhar sang about Murugan of this temple.
- Perumpuliur:
The Siva temple is about 2kms from Thiruvayaru.
Main Deity: Swayambu lingam Known as Vyagya pureeswarar, and his consort sowandra nayaki.
Importance: Vyagyapadhar worshipped in his place so the deity is named after him.
Arunagirinadhar has sung about lord Murugan.
