- Innambur: Siva temple
The temple is about 7kms from Kumbakonam.
This is one of 275 Siva Devara Sthalam.
Main deity is Huge Swayambu linga known as Azuthari nathaswarar and his consort Amman, Sugandha Kundhalambiki.
Sthala vruksham isSanbakamTeertham known asIravatha Teeertham.
Importance: Lord appeared in human form and acounted for temple expenses to the King. Siva preached about grammar to Agastiya muni. Iravatham (Indra’s elephant) worshipped Siva in this place and was blessed.
Sambandhar and Navukkuarasar sang hymns on Lord Siva of this place.

The place is about 10kms from Kumbakonam.
Main deity: Swyambu linga known as Sakshinadhar and Amman Karumbanna cholamai.
Sthala vruksham: Vanni and punga. Teertham: Brahama tertham and Manni river.
Importance: Rathna valli daughter of a businessman visited the temple with her fiance and unfortunately the person dies of snake bite.
Sambandhar was present in the temple at that time. Looking at the helpless girl in sorrow, he wanted to help the girl and sang an hymn in praise of the lord Siva. Since he was an ardent devotee, lord was pleased and gave life to the person.
Sambandhar got them married in the presence of God. So the lord here is known as Sakshinadhar.
Sambandhar Navakkuarasarand Sundarar have sang Hymns in praise of the lord of this place. Arunagirinadha sang Thirupugazh.
